Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Quickpro Locksmiths ("we", "us") operates a mobile locksmith service from 80 Wheatsheaf Rd, Glenroy VIC 3046. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to quote, attend and complete locksmith work:

• Your name, phone number and email address.
• The service address, and the vehicle details where automotive work is involved.
• Evidence of your entitlement to access the property or vehicle, sighted at the job.
• A description of the work requested, and photographs of the door, lock or damage.
• Payment records and invoice details.
• Basic technical information when you use this website, such as pages viewed and general location derived from your IP address.

Proof of entitlement

Where we sight identification to confirm you are entitled to access a property or vehicle, we record only that verification was completed and the type of document sighted. We do not retain copies or images of identity documents unless you ask us to, or the law requires it.

3. Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
• To attend, complete and invoice the work you have booked.
• To maintain key registers for restricted and master key systems we supply.
• To meet our tax, insurance and record-keeping obligations.
• To handle warranty claims, complaints and disputes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your details for marketing unless you have asked us to contact you about something specific.

4. Key registers and restricted keys

If we install a restricted or master key system, we keep a register recording key numbers, authorised signatories and issue history. This is a security control, not a marketing list. We release duplicates only against a signed authority from a person named on the register.

5. Who we disclose information to

• Technicians and subcontractors attending your job, limited to what they need.
• Our accounting, invoicing and payment providers.
• Insurers or property managers, where you have asked us to deal with them.
• Law enforcement or a court, where required or authorised by law.

We do not disclose your information to overseas recipients other than through standard business software providers that may store data outside Australia.

6. This website

Our enquiry form opens your own email client with the details you entered, so the form itself does not transmit data to us until you press send in your mail app. Website hosting logs may record standard technical information. We do not use advertising trackers or sell website data.

7. Security and retention

We store records in access-controlled systems and keep them only as long as needed, generally seven years for financial and job records to satisfy tax and insurance obligations, and for the life of the system for restricted key registers. When information is no longer needed, we destroy or de-identify it.

8. Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask what we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email admin@urgentlocksmiththomastown.com or call (03) 7057 1535. We respond within 30 days. If we refuse access, we will explain why in writing.

9. Complaints

Privacy complaints should be sent to admin@urgentlocksmiththomastown.com. We acknowledge within 5 business days and aim to resolve within 30 days. 10. Changes to this policy

We update this page when our practices change. The date above shows when it was last revised.
