Terms of service

1. Agreement

By booking work with Quickpro Locksmiths of 80 Wheatsheaf Rd, Glenroy VIC 3046, you agree to these terms. Where we give you a written quote, that quote and these terms together form our agreement.

2. Verification of entitlement

We open a property or vehicle only for a person entitled to access it. Before work begins you must provide reasonable evidence, such as photo identification matching the address, a lease, a rates notice, a utility bill, written authority from the owner or managing agent, or current vehicle registration papers with matching identification.

If satisfactory evidence cannot be provided, we will not carry out the work. A call-out fee may still apply because attendance has occurred.

3. Quotes and variations

• Phone estimates are given as a price band based on what you describe.
• A firm price is confirmed on site once the technician can inspect the work.
• If conditions differ from what was described, we stop and re-quote. We do not continue with varied work without your agreement.
• Written quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
• All prices include GST.

4. Non-destructive entry

We attempt non-destructive entry as our default method. Some locks, particularly high-security or damaged ones, cannot be opened without damage. Where destructive entry is the only option, we will tell you before proceeding and quote the cost of replacement hardware. Proceeding is your decision.

5. Your responsibilities

• Describe the door, lock or vehicle as accurately as you can.
• Provide safe access to the work area.
• Disclose known defects, prior forced entry or previous repairs.
• Obtain any owners corporation, landlord or building approval that applies.

6. Payment

Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed different terms in writing. Commercial accounts may be offered 14-day terms at our discretion. We issue an itemised tax invoice for every job. Overdue accounts may attract reasonable recovery costs.

7. Cancellations and access failures

Cancel free of charge any time before a technician is dispatched. If a technician has already been dispatched or has arrived and cannot gain access, is refused entry, or entitlement cannot be verified, the call-out fee is payable. See our returns and refunds policy.

8. Warranty

Our workmanship is warranted for 12 months, and supplied parts carry the relevant manufacturer warranty. Details and exclusions are on our warranty page.

9. Liability

We take reasonable care in performing our work and hold appropriate business insurance. To the extent permitted by law, and subject to the consumer guarantees, our liability for any claim is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. We are not liable for pre-existing defects in doors, frames or hardware, or for loss arising from information you gave us that was inaccurate.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. See our consumer guarantees page.

10. Safety exclusions

We do not attend vehicles with a person or animal locked inside — call 000, as emergency services are equipped for that situation. We may decline any job we assess as unsafe or unlawful.
