Service
Key Cutting & Rekeying
Accurate key cutting, keyed-alike sets and rekeying so old keys stop working without replacing hardware.
Rekeying changes the internal pins of a lock so it works with a new key and the old keys stop working. The hardware stays on the door, which is why it is usually the cheaper and faster answer to a lost key or a change of occupancy.
Key cutting sounds simple and often is not. A key copied from a copy inherits every error along the way, which is how keys start needing a wiggle. We cut from code or from an original wherever possible.

Old keys are rendered useless as soon as the rekey is complete.
Common questions
How many keys do I get?
Whatever you order. Most households take three to four per keyed-alike set; extras can be cut later from the same code.
Can every lock be rekeyed?
Most quality cylinders can. Very cheap or badly worn locks are often better replaced, and we will say so rather than charge you twice.
Why does my copied key stick?
Usually because it was cut from an existing copy rather than an original or a code. Recutting from code normally fixes it.
