Service

Residential Locksmith Services

Deadlocks, door hardware, rekeying and security upgrades for houses, townhouses and apartments.

Most home security problems are not exotic. They are a tired cylinder that needs jiggling, a door that has dropped so the bolt no longer lines up, or a set of keys that has been copied more times than anyone can remember. All of those are fixable in a single visit.

We work on timber, aluminium and composite doors, sliding doors and windows, and we fit hardware that suits the door rather than whatever is cheapest in the van. If a lock can be serviced instead of replaced, we will tell you.

What this service covers

Deadlock supply and installation

Single and double cylinder deadlocks fitted to timber and aluminium doors, with advice on fire-egress considerations for double cylinder units.

Rekeying after you move in

New keys for existing locks so previous tenants, tradespeople and agents no longer have access — usually cheaper than replacing hardware.

Lock repair and servicing

Sticking cylinders, misaligned strikers, worn latches, dropped doors and failed handle mechanisms.

Windows, sliders and screens

Window locks, patio bolts, sliding door locks and security screen door locks and closers.

How the job runs

  1. 1

Tell us what is happening with the door — we will usually ask for a photo of the lock face and edge.

  2. 2

We quote the work before attending where possible, or on site once the fault is confirmed.

  3. 3

Work is completed and tested with you present, and we hand over every key we cut.

  4. 4

You receive an itemised invoice and details of any manufacturer warranty on parts supplied.

Common questions

Should I rekey or replace my locks?

If the hardware is sound and reasonably modern, rekeying is usually the better value option. If the lock is worn, damaged or low grade, replacement is the more sensible spend. We will give you both prices.

Can you key all my doors to one key?

In most cases yes, provided the cylinders are compatible. Keyed-alike sets are a common request for front, back and garage doors.

Do you work on apartment entry doors?

Yes, though building rules or owners corporation approval may apply to common-property doors. We will let you know if that is likely.

Need a locksmith now?

Call and describe the door. You will get a realistic arrival window and a price band before anyone is dispatched.
